What's the difference between the BBPOS WisePOS E and the Stripe Reader S710?

Both the BBPOS WisePOS E and the Stripe Reader S710 are full-featured card readers that connect to your Booksy Biz app and support tap, swipe, and dip payments plus on-screen tipping. 

The main differences:

  • Availability: the S710 is the current reader offered when you order a Booksy Card Reader. The WisePOS E is no longer available to purchase, but if you already have one, it's fully supported and you don't need to replace it.
  • Connectivity: both connect via WiFi or Ethernet (with the optional dock). The S710 additionally supports a 4G or cellular connection using a built-in SIM, useful if you don't have a reliable WiFi network where you check out clients. 4G isn't enabled by default and costs extra. Contact Support via Chat or info.us@booksy.com to add it.
  • Setup and admin PIN: setup steps are the same for both devices.
