Set up an automatic response for WhatsApp Bookings
Use WhatsApp Business Away Message feature to send clients an automatic reply with your booking link, even when you're unavailable. This lets clients book directly, saving you time and ensuring you never miss a booking. When someone messages you, they’ll receive an automated response with a link to your booking site.
Note: To use Away Messages, you’ll need the WhatsApp Business app.
Step-by-step guide to set up an automatic response in WhatsApp Business
- Open the WhatsApp Business app.
- Navigate to Business tools in one of two ways:
- Click Settings by clicking the Gear icon in the lower right corner, then select Business tools.
- Or, click the Tools icon on the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Away Message. This will allow you to set up a custom message for when you’re unavailable.
- Toggle the Send away message option to On.
- Set the Schedule for the Away Message: Tap Schedule, then choose the option Always Send. This ensures that your away message is sent whenever you’re unavailable.
- Select Recipients: Choose Everyone so that the message is sent to all incoming messages, regardless of who they’re from.
- Create your away message: Fill in the message field with a response that includes your booking link. You can copy and paste one of these examples below to get started:

That’s it! When someone messages you on WhatsApp, they’ll now automatically get your link to book themselves.
