Security is a top priority. All card data is encrypted and processed only by trusted payment processors compliant with highest security standards (e.g. PCI DSS). Keyed In Payment is always a one-time transaction, and the entered card information is not linked to any client profiles or other payments.
Please bear in mind that credit card security is a joint effort between you and Booksy. In particular:
- You are responsible for the physical security of the device used to process credit card transactions. Only authorized staff members who have completed the necessary training should use it. Any physical modification of the device is strictly prohibited.
- You must ensure the device is securely configured—it should run supported, updated software and be protected from malware (e.g., antivirus software) and unauthorized access (e.g., PIN or password).
- You are responsible for protecting credit card data shared by clients. Writing down or sharing card numbers with unauthorized individuals is strictly forbidden.
Additionally:
- Always obtain explicit authorization from the client before manually entering their card details.
- Never save, insert or share card details outside of the designated fields in Booksy.
- Ensure you are using a secure network connection.
