The Loyalty Cards Program is your tool to reward your most loyal clients, encouraging them to book more often, and helping turn first-time clients into regulars. With each visit or transaction, clients earn stamps on a digital card. Once they collect all the required stamps, they earn a final reward of your choice.
Loyalty Cards Program examples:
- Complete 5 color treatments and get 50% off your 6th.
- Get ten haircuts, get one free.
- Get a bottle of polish with your fifth manicure.
Note: You can only have one active Loyalty Cards Program at a time, so you can't offer different rewards to different clients simultaneously.
Setting up your Loyalty Cards Program
- Go to Gift Cards & Bundled Services (mobile: Profile > Settings).
- Select Loyalty Cards Program.
- Enable the Loyalty Program.
- Configure the settings for earning stamps and the final reward:
- Loyalty Card type - For now, only Stamps are available.
- Reward - Enter what the client will receive (e.g., a free service, product, or a specific promotion).
- Total stamps - Set how many stamps clients must collect to be rewarded (between 1 and 15).
- Free stamps - Give clients a starting boost (e.g., 1 free stamp for signing up) or type in 0.
- Minimum value to earn a stamp - Set the minimum amount a client must spend to earn one stamp.
- Stamp deadline - Choose if stamps have no deadline or if they expire after a set period (from the last appointment or card issue date).
- Reward expiration - Choose if the final reward has no deadline or an expiration date.
- Stamp awarded - Specify whether checkout is required for the client to receive a stamp.
- Card design - Select from the available designs or add a custom design.
- Automatic issuing - Select if the loyalty card should be automatically issued to new and existing clients. (You can also issue cards manually.)
- Save your changes.
Managing Loyalty Cards
A stamp is added to a client's card automatically each time they complete an eligible service or transaction based on your settings. However, you have full control to manage and edit cards as needed.
Your clients can access their loyalty cards in the Booksy for Customers app to view their card, track stamps, and check their progress toward earning their reward.
Editing and issuing cards manually
- Go to Loyalty Cards Program > Loyalty Cards.
- To issue a new card manually for a client, select the + button. You can customize the stamp balance and deadline when issuing.
- Select an issued card to view its details, or to edit the stamp balance, card status, stamp deadline, or void/delete the card.
Note: Any changes you make are immediately visible to the client in the Booksy for Customers app. - In the Manage Cards tab, you can quickly delete Expired cards, Completed cards, and All Loyalty Cards in bulk.
Completing cards and issuing rewards
- When a client collects all the necessary stamps, their card is marked as Completed.
- Both you and the client will be notified that they have earned the reward.
- Once the card is completed, you will see the Issue reward button. Select this button to mark the card as redeemed once the client has received their reward.
Important: Rewards are not issued automatically; you must issue the reward of your choice manually. - If you have automatic issuing enabled, a new card will be created for the client once the current one is completed.
Making changes and disabling the Loyalty Cards Program
Editing the Loyalty Cards Program
You can change all the Loyalty Cards Program settings at any time by returning to Gift Cards & Bundled Services > Loyalty Cards Program > Loyalty Program.
When you make changes to the settings (like the number of required stamps or the reward):
- The changes are applied immediately to all clients going forward.
- For existing clients who are already participating, you'll be prompted to choose:
- Keep existing cards active and let them continue earning stamps under the previous settings.
- Delete all existing cards with the previous settings permanently.
Disabling the Loyalty Cards Program
You can disable the Loyalty Cards Program at any time using the slider located in the top right corner of the Loyalty Cards Program settings.
