What are the internet requirements for my Booksy Card Reader?

The BBPOS WisePOS E and Stripe Reader S710 must connect to WiFi or Ethernet to process payments. The Stripe Reader M2 will not connect to the internet directly, and instead connects to your mobile device via Bluetooth. All readers must still be used via the Booksy app.

  • WiFi or Ethernet (WisePOS E and S710): ensure the reader is on the same network as your Booksy Biz app, whether you're using WiFi or Ethernet via the optional docking station. If using WiFi, the network must be password-protected.
  • 4G or cellular (S710 only): the S710 can also connect using a built-in SIM, which is useful where WiFi isn't reliable. This isn't enabled by default and costs extra. Contact Support via Chat or info.us@booksy.com to turn it on.
  • Bluetooth (Stripe Reader M2): connects directly to your mobile device. No separate network setup needed.
