What’s the difference between a Shared Location and a multi-staffer business?

A Shared Location (formerly known as Umbrella Venue) lists multiple businesses operating individual Booksy accounts at the same location under one Profile, while also maintaining individual brand pages. A multi-staffer business is one with multiple staff members providing services. Multi-staffer businesses can be part of shared locations.

In a Shared Location, you and other providers each have your own accounts with separate clients and calendars, etc. In a multi-staffer business, all staff members operate under one account, sharing the same client base, calendar, etc.
In a Shared Location, each account has its own individual Profile Link and QR Code, allowing each provider to have a unique online presence. In a multi-staffer business, all staff members share a single Profile Link and QR Code for the entire account.
In a Shared Location, you and other providers can link your individual accounts to your Instagram profiles to showcase your business’s work. In a multi-staffer business, staff members can add a personal Book Now button to their own Instagram accounts that links to their schedules.
In a Shared Location, you and other providers can enable Booksy Payments on your own accounts and receive payments to your own bank accounts. In a multi-staffer business, only one bank account can be connected for Booksy Payments, requiring the business owner to handle staff payouts separately outside of the app.
In a Shared Location, you and other providers can activate Boost on your individual accounts, with Boost fees charged to the payment method on file for each subscription. In a multi-staffer business, Boost is activated for the entire account, and Boost fees are charged to the payment method on file for the subscription.
Additionally, in a multi-staffer business, you can set your staff members' permission levels.
