You can easily upload your existing appointments from another calendar to Booksy to manage everything in one place and make sure you don’t get double-booked.
First, you need to export your calendar into an .ics file (a maximum of 5000 events can be imported, and the file size must be 12 MB or less).
How to export your calendar:
- Exporting Apple Calendar on MacOS (computer) - Instructions here.
- Exporting Apple Calendar on iOS (iPhone/iPad) - Apple doesn’t currently support exporting the Calendar through the official app. We recommend using one of the free apps in the AppStore (try searching for Calendar export).
- Exporting Google Calendar (on web) - Instructions here.
- Exporting Google Calendar on Android / iOS (mobile) - There is no export function in the Google Calendar app. Access your calendar via a web browser, and refer to the instructions on exporting Google Calendar on the web here.
Once you have exported your calendar into a .ics file, log in to Booksy to import the exported file.
How to import your calendar:
- Navigate to Appointments.
- Select the gear icon above your calendar on the computer/tablet or the three-dots symbol on the mobile app.
- Navigate to the Calendar Import section.
- Select Choose a calendar file at the bottom of the screen.
- Upload your exported calendar file.
- Click Import calendar events (the operation may take up to 10 minutes).
You’ll be notified whether all events were successfully imported. Please verify if everything you needed was imported properly.
The imported events will be converted to “walk-in” appointments and assigned to the person importing. You can then edit the appointments and add any necessary details.
If you are dissatisfied with the imported events after the import is complete, you can discard them by clicking Remove imported events.
Note: Only events scheduled from the first day of the current month up to 2 years in the future can be imported.
