How do I set up and use promotions?

Promotions are an excellent tool to encourage bookings and drive business by giving clients an extra incentive to schedule their next appointment with you.

Booksy offers featured promotions like Flash Sale, Happy Hours, and Last Minute Discount.

Note: Your clients will be able to see on your Booksy profile the lowest price of the services covered by your promotions within a 30-day period before the price reduction was implemented. This ensures price transparency for your clients.

Accessing and Launching Promotions

  1. Navigate to Marketing > Promotions.
  2. Select the deal(s) you wish to activate (e.g., Flash Sale).
  3. Set your parameters (duration, discount amount, specific times/days, etc.).
  4. Choose whether to apply to all or select specific services.
  5. Select Start Promotion.

Tip: Once your promotion is launched, you'll have the option to send a message to your clients, encouraging them to take advantage of the special offer.

Promotion types

Flash Sale

Flash Sale is a type of promotion that offers services at a discounted price for a limited period of time, designed to help you make time-sensitive price adjustments, promote a new service, or offer a special holiday deal. You have the flexibility to customize how long the sale lasts (you can set a discount for a day or two, or for up to 90 days), as well as when the actual booking needs to occur to receive the discount.

Happy Hours

Happy Hours is a discount offered at specific days and times that you set, with the purpose of encouraging clients to book during periods that are typically slow or have low booking rates. You can set a discount for any number of days in a week and select a suitable, separate discount for each day or copy settings and apply the same discount to other days as well.

Last Minute Discount

Last Minute Discount allows you to offer a deal to clients who book on short notice, which is ideal for filling in empty slots in your calendar due to last-minute cancellations or breaks in your day. You can apply a discount for clients who book 4 hours or less before the appointment start time.

To deactivate a promotion, select the promotion you wish to turn off and click the trash icon on mobile or the Stop button on the web.

Tip: You can also set higher prices for appointments during your most popular times or for non-standard slots with Premium Hours.
