Booksy partners with Stripe to file 1099 tax forms summarizing your finances activities in 2024. In January 2025, Stripe will send you a 1099-K tax form provided you are based in the US or a US taxpayer and have exceeded the $5,000 threshold in gross volume via Stripe in the 2024 tax year.
Gross volume exceeding $5,000 in a year will be calculated based on the transactions processed through:
- Mobile Payments
- Cancelation Fees or Deposits
- Booksy Card Reader
- Tap to Pay
Cash transactions made through the Checkout tab will not be taken into account.
Go to Reports > Cash flow to check how much money you’ve processed with Mobile Payments, No-Show Protection, Tap to Pay or Booksy Card Reader.
If you’re eligible to receive a 1099-K tax form, you should expect to receive an email from Stripe near the end of the year, asking you to review and confirm your tax information and consent to e-delivery. Go check your email and follow the link in the email to verify that all the details are correct and to confirm your agreement to e-delivery.
Note that due to Booksy’s migration from Adyen to Stripe in 2023, you may receive 1099-K tax forms from both Adyen (via post) and Stripe (via e-delivery if you consent, or via post). If your data required by Adyen is incomplete, we will contact you by email to request the missing information.
You can use these 1099-K forms to assist you in filing your taxes. They are provided to you and the IRS, as well as to some US states. For more information about the 1099-K form, refer to the IRS website.
