Booksy does not create or file Form 1099-K. Stripe will issue your 1099-K each January, provided you are based in the US or a US taxpayer and have exceeded the $20,000 threshold of annual revenue and more than 200 transactions (note that the thresholds can change year to year).
Gross volume exceeding $20,000 in a year will be calculated based on the transactions processed through Booksy Payments (Mobile Payments, No-Show Protection: Cancellation Fees or Deposits, Booksy Card Reader, Tap to Pay).
Transactions paid by cash, card terminals other than Booksy Card Reader, Square, Venmo, Zelle, etc. will not be taken into account.
Go to Reports > Cash flow to check how much money you’ve processed with Mobile Payments, No-Show Protection, Tap to Pay or Booksy Card Reader.
If you’re eligible to receive a 1099-K tax form, you should expect to receive an email from Stripe near the end of each year, asking you to review and confirm your tax information and consent to e-delivery. Go check your email and follow the link in the email to verify that all the details are correct and to confirm your agreement to e-delivery.
You can use these 1099-K forms to assist you in filing your taxes. They are provided to you and the IRS, as well as to some US states.
Please note: Booksy and Stripe do not provide tax or legal advice. For personalized advice, please consult a qualified accountant or tax advisor.
